Field Review: Olympus E-5 (Day 4)
So far in the review we’ve found out that the Olympus E-5 is a tough cookie from Day 3, that the raw image files are very versatile, and we’re beyond the first impressions. But the E-5 has a much sexier side to it. There are art filters built into the camera. The chart above can be clicked on (and shared) to show off the effects on one image. This will literally be nothing else but a huge image dump with other samples from each filter.
Field Review: Olympus E-5 (Day 3)
What happens when you take a DSLR marketed to be weatherproof and bury it under snow for a couple of minutes? While doing this, you are recording video on said DSLR. I tested that with the Olympus E-5 as part of the Field Review along with how well it performed during a snowfall.

Field Review: Olympus E-5 (Day 1)

It’s been a long time since I’ve spent this long with an Olympus product: around two years! Editor’s Note: For the love of Cartier-Bresson, do not ask me photography questions on my Facebook Wall. Instead, become a fan of The Phoblographer on Facebook or Twitter and ask us there.
We’re working under the hood tomorrow
Just a quick note: some more site maintenance will be done tomorrow. Don’t freak out if we’re down. We’ll be back
Till then!
4 Reasons Why the Olympus EPL-2 and XZ-1 Will Dominate in Sales
Admittedly, I haven’t touched either the Olympus EPL-2 or XZ-1 at the time of writing this posting. However, they are two very exciting cameras that are bound to be hot on everyone’s list. Those of you that have been reading the site for a while know that I hated the EPL-1 (more than once) to the point of even refusing to link to it through Amazon and B&H because I wouldn’t tell anyone to buy it. It seems like Olympus has listened to what I clamored for originally, and threw in some amazing accessories as well. If not, it at least will make the decision between the two top dogs in this category a bit more difficult.
